Flørli: Hike to Get Your Heart Beating with Willy Steinskog of Lysefjorden Running.

Date: Saturday 11:30 to 17:00

A 17 kilometer hike with an elevation of 1300 meters. Up the stairs and into the wild. Explore Frafjordheiene with the man who arguably knows Lysefjorden the best: Willy has designed and completed several marathons and half marathons in the region, including Lysefjorden Inn, Lysefjorden Rundt, Preikestolen Maraton og Flørlitrappene Opp.  This hike is intended for adventure seekers who love traversing mountains. For maximum yield, you’ll have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself. You don’t have to be a top athlete by any means, but you should be familiar with fast-paced walking in rough terrain.

First, we’ll climb Flørlitrappa before making our way to Kvednafjell, where we’ll have a magnificent view of the fjord from up above. We’ll hike along the water reservoirs, ascend Hellefjellet, and then continue down to Roar and Margaret Larsen’s cabin, where we’ll be able to relax and grab a bite. After the cabin pitstop, we’ll proceed to Kallalistølen, presenting more fabulous views over the fjord. We’ll follow the cliff down to Kallaliklumpen, while enjoying one panoramic view after the other. Lastly, Willy will show you the Flørli waterfall in a way you’ve never before experienced it! A fun and healthy hike in every way imaginable!
